Aardvark Video Produced a Customized Live-Stream Using vMix and Zoom Software

The first live meeting, “The State of the Diamond Industry”, required mixing and live-switching multiple cameras with audio and a PowerPoint Presentation. A PIP (picture-in-picture) template was created to be able to broadcast the camera shots and the PPT on one screen to the online attendees:

The second session we live-streamed, “Industry Leaders Debate Social Responsibility at Rapaport Conference”, required mixing and live-switching 4 cameras and also integrating Zoom audio and video into our live-stream mix for when an attendee needed to address the debate room. Making everything work required heavy pre-production planning, testing, and staging in the studio. Below we will get into detail on pre-production planning and software and hardware used for this successful live-stream event.

This was critically important for the afternoon meeting where approximately 12 people were seated at a U-Shaped table. One of our technicians operated 4 HD PTZ cameras from a single controller while another technician operated the live-switching and monitored the Zoom meeting on a separate laptop.
