In years past Aardvark Video and Media Productions did a great deal of work for GES, the event and staging company. They produce many of the shows that come to Las Vegas.
In recent years the company has come under the “OnServices” umbrella and at MGM Grand we had the privilege of working at one of their shows for their client who was from Budapest.
Our Role
Our role was to record interviews with one crew and to collect footage for a “Highlight Video” of the show with another crew which also did “man-on-the-street” type interviews.
We had one crew set up at a booth
Another was roaming with a camera on a gimbal and a cart for moving lighting and microphones.
Our goal was to provide the absolute best image and audio quality possible. For this, we used top-quality Sony A7siii full-frame cameras that can shoot with 10-bit color. What does 10-bit color mean? It means you can bring everything to life with outstanding color reproduction and in editing you can manipulate the final image to get the absolute best result. You can see from the images above that we worked hard with the right equipment to make this successful
We set up in one-half day and recorded for two days. While we recorded, the client edited onsite. Furthermore, because some of the people were from other countries, we conversed throughout the days on “WhatsApp” and brought camera sticks to the editor throughout the day.
The client was extremely pleased with the effort we put into this and we look forward to working more with OnServices.
