Last week we traveled to Lake Las Vegas to record a presenter at Ravella. For us Lake Las Vegas is way out there but in reality only about a 1/2 hour drive. For all you techies, this was pretty low-light and required 12db of gain. With our Sony EX1 cameras, this is no problem as unlike some lessor cameras there is very little noise. For something like this we bring a portable stand to get above the audience, an audio mixer to control the sound level and a monitor to aid exposure, color and focus. We aren’t like one of these companies that just shows up with a camera and tripod and hopes for the best. Our client was very pleased with the result.
