What Did We Do to Make a Difference?
As a professional video production company, Aardvark Video had the privilege of working with International Homes USA (IHUSA) to create an impactful video in 2019. It was a project close to our hearts, as we wanted to truly connect with the message and audience that IHUSA had in mind. Our job was to bring their vision to life through carefully crafted visuals and storytelling.
From capturing interviews in the warmth of their home to filming vibrant scenes around the neighborhood, we made sure to infuse every frame with emotion and authenticity. The family we worked with also shared personal video clips and photos, adding an extra layer of intimacy to the production.
Bringing the Vision to Life
Our goal was to translate IHUSA’s vision into a powerful and relatable video experience. We achieved this through a combination of strategic filming and heartfelt storytelling.
- Capturing Emotional Authenticity: We filmed interviews with the host family in the comfort of their own home, allowing their genuine warmth and connection with students to shine through.
- Vivid Neighborhood Scenes: We ventured outside to capture the vibrant energy of the neighborhood where this family lived, showcasing the welcoming and diverse communities that awaited students.
- Personal Touches: In addition to our professional recording, the families themselves shared personal video clips and photos. This added layer of intimacy gave viewers a deeper glimpse into the lives of both families and students, further strengthening the emotional core of the story.
Meet the Family
This story was especially touching because both the host family and the biological family were present. While we didn’t actually get to film the biological family, their presence was still felt. We utilized some pictures of them in the video to add to the story. The student made the story more touching because of her personality and all her accomplishments.
How Did We make a Difference?
Ultimately, our collaboration with IHUSA not only met but exceeded expectations. The video we created served its purpose of attracting more host families to open their doors to foreign students, making a meaningful impact in the community. It was a fulfilling project that truly showcased the power of storytelling through video.
